Superpower, a new healthcare platform aimed at offering “individualized, preventative and longevity-focused medicine,” is evidence of the rapid expansion of digital longevity medicine. The San Francisco-based startup declared that it has raised $4 million in pre-seed money to further its goal of democratizing access to preventative healthcare and ensuring that everyone, not just the wealthiest 0.1%, can afford high-quality, individualized treatment.
Susa Ventures led the investment round and the following investors contributed: Family Fund, Atman VC, 24 Carrot VC, Focalpoint Partners, Long Journey Ventures and Seaside Ventures. A number of well-known angel investors also took part, including DoorDash co-founder Evan Charles Moore, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, Balaji Srinivasan, Scott and Cyan Banister and others.
“We’re building the healthcare system we want for ourselves and our loved ones,” said Marchione, Superpower’s COO. “One that is holistic, data-driven and can support the problems that have classically been neglected by healthcare: nutrition, sleep, inflammation, gut health, hormones, toxins and longevity, amongst others. Preventative medicine is just getting started.”
The Superpower platform also provides members with up-to-date information on health trends and scientific research, regularly reviewing new diagnostics and therapeutic approaches to prevent and anticipate illness, treat acute medical conditions comprehensively and improve overall performance.
CEO of Superpower Peters revealed that he was inspired to create the company after experiencing a personal health issue that led to a protracted hospital stay and a multimillion-dollar bill—a situation he feels could have been avoided.
In addition, he added, “We realized there was an opportunity to launch a new technology company that would make this extraordinary medical paradigm accessible to all, making it easier for people to feel better, live longer, and be disease-free.”
Superpower has declared its intention to onboard new members on a weekly basis for the current year.
